Professor Quirrell is Harry’s Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. He is known for wearing a purple turban and having a stutter. Quirrell’s strangeness soon has the Hogwarts students talking about him – how his classroom always smells of garlic, and the strange and scary beings he has encountered on his travels, such as hags and vampires. Although, the truth about Quirrell is far scarier!

Many rumours float around about Professor Quirrell during Harry's first year at Hogwarts. Fred and George were convinced his turban was stuffed with garlic to scare off vampires!
